WPPI 2012

We had a great time at WPPI 2012 this year! It was so exciting getting to hear all the speakers, new tips and tricks to try with our weddings and portraits, and all the latest in technology and gear. We hope to employ all of this new training and equipment so that we can make the experience we have with our clients that much better. Here's to a great kickoff to the new wedding season!

Canon 5d Mk III set for announcement

The highly anticipated Canon 5d Mk III is set for announcement on Monday or Tuesday Feb 27/28 according to CanonRumors.com. The specs may be surprising as the megapixels only jump from 21 to 22. The autofocus gets a makeover closer to its older sibling the 1DX with a 61pt system. The item that we're excited about is the dual card slot: one compact flash and one SD. Also, we should see a major reduction in noise levels that will be on par with the newly announced Canon 1DX. Anyways, time will tell as Monday/Tuesday is just around the corner!

Canon Releases new lenses

See the new releases from Canon here. The most exciting of the releases for us is the new updated version of the 24-70mm f/2.8 L series lens. It has a smaller body, more durability, and better overall lens quality. Should be exciting to use!

This is a really interesting article on what it costs to be a photographer and why we charge what we do. It was published in response to an angry bride's comments posted on a craigslist ad. Hopefully it does shed light on why we charge what we charge.

Did a great family shoot with the Kenly's in Montecito. The weather was crazy and we almost cancelled but the we got some amazing shots with the clouds that really turned out well!
